Make a textile-care reference
Photograph care labels for frequently used household textiles. Name the files clearly and retain the original instructions. A reference sheet can help you find the label again without inventing one washing method for every fabric.
Keep the finished note with its date and source material. Return to it when you repeat the exercise, and add what changed rather than replacing the earlier observation.
